This is a handy SharePoint component

Save time retyping data by creating a copy of the current list item or document with a touch of a button.

Copy any item directly from any view simply clicking on the Copy icon. Once the icon is clicked, you are forwarded to the New form so you can make changes to the newly created item copy.
